Listeria in smoked salmon: this product was withdrawn by all supermarkets (brand and lot)

The Ministry of Health has spread an urgent notice that concerns a smoked Norwegian salmon, recalled for food safety reasons, following the feedback of MonocyTogenes listeria, bacterium that can cause serious infections especially in vulnerable subjects such as elderly, pregnant women and people with compromised immune system.

The product affected by the food alert is the KV Nordic Norwegian salmon, sold in 100 gram packs.

The lot involved is the number 486238, with expiry date 04/10/2025.

The production of smoked salmon took place at the Koral Sa plant, located in Kukinia 43, Usronie Morskie, district of Kołobzeg, voted of western Pomerania, Poland, identified by the PL 32081801 we brand.

The product is distributed in Italy via Eurofood Spa and the call concerns exclusively the indicated lot and not other products from the same brand.

The warnings of the press release reads:

The consumer lords are invited if they had purchased the product in question not to proceed with consumption and to return it to the store where the purchase was made.
