Beautiful and without cruelty! These vegan and ethical bags are made of cactus, hemp or orange and you will love them

Today more than ever, sustainability should not be a passing tendency, but a conscious choice that touches every aspect of our daily lives, including the wardrobe. Not surprisingly, more and more people begin to be careful where and how the clothes they buy are produced, and the same is worth – or should be worth – also for accessories. The bags, for example, are among the most iconic articles and used every day: why not choose them beautiful but also sustainable?

Buying a sustainable accessory means rewarding ecological materials, ethical chains and transparent productions, thus helping to reduce the environmental impact and support a more just fashion idea, which respects people, animals and the planet.

And it is precisely on these values that anema is basedan Italian and visionary Italian brand that has made sustainability its stylistic figure. His bags are not only beautiful to see and wear: they are objects that tell a choice, a deep cure for the environment, a passion for craftsmanship and for innovative materials. In a nutshell, they are the concrete demonstration that ethical and design fashion can (and must) live together.

Born in 2021 from the vision of the designer Francesco Esposito, Anema offers bags and small accessories produced handcrafted in Italy, in the heart of the Neapolitan leather tradition, without the use of materials of animal origin. The result? Sophisticated and cruelty-free accessories, perfect for those looking for a particular style but without forgetting the ethics and the environment.

How the anema bags are made

The Anema collections are made with truly innovative materials such as cactus skin, hemp fiber, fabric derived from apple and even orange peel. To these are added corn and other natural elements, all certified, organic or recycled.

Each material is chosen for its reduced environmental impact but also for the aesthetic and tactile performance: soft but resistant surfaces, natural textures, refined finishes. The result? Bags that seem to come out of a luxury boutique, but with an ethical and sustainable soul that really makes the difference.

Let’s find out more closely the individual materials used:

Orange (Ohoskin)

From Sicily comes one of the most fascinating innovations: Ohoskin, a material developed in Catania using orange peels and food by -products. After a specific treatment, these waste are combined with biopolymers and natural resins, giving life to a high quality vegan “skin”, resistant and with a unique texture.

Biological hemp

Among the most resistant natural fabrics ever, biological hemp resists UV rays, preserves the colors longer than any other natural fiber and is naturally antibacterial. A perfect choice for those looking for a beautiful, functional bag and ready to accompany over time.

Apple (Uppeal™)

Anema recovers the apple skins – food processing waste – and transforms them into a vegan, durable and flexible material thanks to the Uppeal technology™. It is the perfect way to give a second life to what otherwise it should be thrown away, transforming it into design objects and stylists.

Cactus (Desserto®)

The cactus Nopal, cultivated without irrigation in the ranch of the state of Zacatecas in Mexico, is worked with a low impact process. The mature leaves are gathered every 6-8 months, they let themselves be dried in the sun and then turn into powder, mixed with non-toxic binders. The result is Dessert®, a soft material, resistant and completely cruelty free.

Corn and rpet

These new generation fabrics are born from the union of bio-components derived from corn and recycled pet collected in areas with high environmental risk. Partner such as Fiscatech and Coronet, Italian excellence in the sector, constantly invest in research, development and renewable energy to create sustainable and highly performing materials.

Shapes, colors and lines that tell the Mediterranean

The Anema collections are named after iconic places of southern Italy and its islands: Capri, Ischia, Procida, minors, up to the Sibilla line, available in three measures. Each model is designed to accompany different moments of the day: from the most spacious perfect for the office, to the elegant minibags for the evening, up to the ideal shoulder bag to stay light but with style.

The color palettes range from natural and warm tones – such as terracotta, sand, olive green – to brighter and Mediterranean colors such as lemon yellow, deep blue or brilliant orange. The lines are clean and contemporary, with well -kept details, invisible zips, reinforced handles and magnetic closures that combine functionality and design.

Among other things, the current range of proposals is expanding continuously.

True sustainability, not just promises

Anema’s DNA is young and unconventional. Bags are not only accessories but small works of art to be brought with you every day. The designer’s hand is perceived in every detail: from precise seams to the game of texture, to the bold but never excessive chromatic choice.

What we like most though, as you have understood, is that behind the beauty of these bags there is a concrete commitment: all anema products are PETA certified and made with recycled or organic materials. Internal production and direct control of the supply chain allow to reduce waste and guarantee high ethical standards. A conscious choice that speaks to those who want to make the difference even with what they use and brings with them every day.
