A festival immersed in nature
Rome is preparing to host a unique event: cinema in green, the festival that combines cinema, environment and culture, hosted by the suggestive botanical garden of Rome from 18 to 21 September 2025.
In one of the most fascinating places in the city, among centuries -old trees, perennial plants and rare collections, the public will be able to attend free projections, meetings, debates and previews that center the relationship between man and nature.

Thursday 18 September – Opening between documentaries and big names
The first day opens at 11:00 with Breath of Ilaria Congiu, introduced by experts and scientists. In the afternoon space for the Green Mirror review with Laf building And 2073 – Last callfollowed by the official inauguration at 18:30 with guests such as Michele Riondino and Giuseppe Catozzella.
In the evening the first films in competition arrive: Mariposas Negras And The World Upside Down.
Friday 19 September – Trees, energy and Amazon
The day starts at 11:00 with The Bosco Codedocumentary that leads the viewer to reflect on the secret communication of the trees.
The afternoon is dedicated to very topical issues such as the energy transition, with debates on efficiency and savings moderate by journalists and experts in the sector.
In the early evening, two titles in competition not to be missed: Transamazonia And Through Rocks and Clouds.
Saturday 20 September – Young directors and food sustainability
Saturday opens with Things that happen on earth by Michele Cinque. At 15:00 space for the short films of young Italian authors in the review Environment.
At 19:00 there will be a meeting dedicated to the sustainable chains, with the projection of The streets of basil.
The evening brings to the competition The Beetle Project And The Village Next to Paradise.
Sunday 21 September – Sea, prizes and closure
The last day focuses on the sea with a selection of shorts from the planet Mare Film Festival in Naples.
At 19:00 the closing ceremony takes place with important guests such as Alessandro Preziosi, Barbara Chichiarelli, Rossella Muroni and the musician Cristiano Godano, for an ending that unites cinema, words and music.
Great conclusion with the assignment of the Ginkgo d’Oro Prize and, at 9:00 pm, the screening of the winning film.

Four days of cinema surrounded by greenery, completely free, which combine large signatures of international cinema, young directors, environment experts, scientists and even artistic voices such as that of Cristiano Godano.
