Support the expenses to ensure housing autonomy, re-establish the school and training path of minor children and regain personal autonomy. Thus the Lazio Region is close to women victims of violence with the so-called “Freedom Contribution”.
Intended for women victims of violence, with or without children, followed by anti-violence centres, refuge homes and semi-autonomous homes in the regional territory, this is a public notice “Freedom Contribution”, promoted by the Lazio Region and managed by the in-house company LAZIOcrea SpA
Applications have been open since February 6th. The notice aims to support paths to housing and personal autonomy and to facilitate the path to escape from violence and is aimed at supporting the expenses to ensure housing autonomy and the reacquisition of personal autonomy.
The assistance path includes different phases: access to specialized services, psychological care and the construction of a protection and autonomy plan, to offer a possibility of restarting to avoid the risk of being exposed to various forms of violence again.
Who is the Freedom Contribution intended for?
Women victims of violence, with or without minor children, followed by anti-violence centres, recognized in the Lazio Region. Additionally, you will need:
- be Italian citizens
- be EU citizens or citizens of a non-EU State, in possession of one of the residence cards for non-EU family members of European Union citizens provided for by articles 10 and 17 of Legislative Decree 6 February 2007, n. 30 or in possession of a regular EU residence permit pursuant to legislative decree 25 July 1998, n. 286 or the receipt of the request or slip, or the permit for special protection referred to in article 32 of Legislative Decree 01/28/2008, n. 25
For the purposes of this benefit, foreigners with the status of political refugees or subsidiary protection status are treated as equivalent to Italian citizens:
- be resident in a municipality in the Lazio Region
- having undertaken a path to escape violence at anti-violence structures (CAV, CR)
Women who, at the date of publication of this notice, have benefited from the “Freedom Income” provided by INPS cannot access the contribution.
The contribution must be allocated to:
- living autonomy (such as rent or condominium and utility expenses)
- reacquisition of personal autonomy (such as medications and medical expenses, training, education and culture)
- scholastic and educational path of minor sons and daughters
How to submit the application
The application must be submitted electronically, via the IT platform available HERE and must be presented by the legal representative of the anti-violence centres, shelters and semi-autonomous homes operating in the Lazio Region, on behalf of the woman victim of violence.
