An exhibition-market dedicated to succulents
A new event designed for those who love resistant and easy-to-grow plants is born in Rome. Verdeinscena launches the first edition of Rome in Cactus, an exhibition-market entirely dedicated to cacti and succulents, aimed at both the most expert enthusiasts and those who want to approach this world for the first time. The initiative offers the opportunity to meet specialized nurserymen, discover unusual varieties and deepen the knowledge of plants that in recent years are gaining more and more space in city homes and balconies.
The charm of succulents
Succulents, known for their ability to store water in tissues, are among the most adaptable and amazing species in the plant kingdom. Cacti, agaves, echeverias and many other succulents are distinguished by geometric shapes, decorative thorns and spectacular blooms. They are appreciated not only for their particular aesthetics but also for their ease of cultivation: they require little water, tolerate long periods of drought well and adapt easily to life in pots. During the event it will be possible to observe rare specimens, ask for advice on cultivation and understand how to choose the most suitable soil and exposure.
Information to visit the event
The event is easily reachable by metro C, Alessandrino stop, and has free multi-storey parking for those arriving by car. Entrance costs 5 euros, while children under 12 and people with certified disabilities enter for free.
Dogs are also allowed, as long as they are kept on a leash. The event aims to become a meeting point for those who grow these plants and for those who are simply curious to discover how varied, decorative and long-lived succulents can be.
