The lot to look for on the label is LB187DB01, with a minimum shelf life of 07/2029. Other jars of the same sauce, with different batches, remain outside the recall.
Because he was recalled
The warning states the possible presence of glass fragments as the reason. It does not say how the fragments may have ended up in the product, nor whether there have been reports from customers. It’s a physical risk, so cooking doesn’t eliminate it. A piece of glass, even a small one, once ingested can injure the mouth, throat and digestive system.
What to do if you bought it
The check is quick and you don’t need to open the jar. If the batch and expiry date correspond to those indicated, the sauce should not be consumed and should be returned to the point of sale where it was purchased, as requested on the sign. For clarifications, the Selex toll-free number is available on 800 992992.
