For three consecutive nights we will admire Mars with the naked eye “immersed” in the Nativity scene star cluster, we won’t miss it!

For three consecutive evenings, from 10 to 12 Octoberwe will admire, in different positions, Mars “immersed” in the Nativity star cluster (M44). With a clear sky, we will be able to enjoy the spectacle with the naked eye (although with binoculars or a small telescope you can distinguish dozens of bright stars at low magnifications), with a practically absent moon. Don’t miss it!

As the UAI explains, in the hours preceding sunrise on 10, 11 and 12 October we will be able to follow the motion of Mars which leads it to overlap with the Nativity star cluster (M44), at the center of the constellation of Cancer (in the maps the sky of 10, 11 and 12 October 2026 at approximately 5.00 am).
