Achille Lauro visits the injured young people of Crans-Montana, admitted to the Niguarda hospital (and makes their wish come true)

Achille Lauro has decided to give a profound new meaning to one of his best known and most sung songs: “16 marzo”. The song, born as an intimate letter to a past love, is full of nostalgia but also tells of the possibility of being reborn and changing after a finished relationship. Today that song has also been transformed into a concrete gesture of solidarity and encouragement to the survivors of the New Year’s Eve fire, which occurred in Crans-Montana.

The Roman singer, expected this evening at the Unipol Forum for the first date of his tour in the arenas, in the last few hours visited the young patients still hospitalized in the major burns department at the Niguarda Hospital in Milan.

Achille Lauro’s meeting with patients

Achille Lauro’s visit was born from the desire expressed by the patients themselves, after the touching tribute that Lauro dedicated to them during the Sanremo 2026 Festival. On that occasion the singer performed “16 marzo” in duet with Laura Pausini and, modifying the set list, dedicated the song “Perdutamente” to the victims of Crans-Montana, a song that had also accompanied the funeral of Achille Barosi, the young Milanese who died in the fire of the Le Constellations.

Today my thanks go to a singer, but above all to a truly special boy. – commented the Welfare Councilor of the Lombardy Region Guido Bertolaso – Lauro, with his availability and sweetness, was able to bring a little joy into the hearts of those kids who suffered so much, also meeting the young people who had resigned and some parents, even those who are no longer here. A special thanks also to Carlo Conti who helped us organize the meeting. Thank you so much.

Once again Achille Lauro has proven that he is not only an extraordinary artist, but a person with a big heart.
