Foretold after Hurricane Kirk which touched Italy in recent days, the African Anticyclone arrives: intense heat, decidedly above average, for what many call the “October”.
A high pressure field, with masses of hot air coming directly from Africa, will in fact arrive on the Mediterranean and then also on the whole of Italy.
Where there will be African heat
According to what ilmeteo.it reports, the peak of this unseasonal heat occurred today, October 10th. In fact, today Sicily even reached peaks close to 34/35°C.
From tomorrow Friday 11 October, the Scirocco winds will cease with the arrival of high pressure over the Mediterranean basin and, consequently, temperatures will begin to drop almost everywhere: we will therefore pass from a sort of late summer to a more suitable for the autumn period.
And the surprises may not end here: next week also promises to be interesting on the weather-climate front, say ilmeteo.it.
The forecast indicates a weekend of good weather: in particular, the Major Islands will see highs of up to 30°C, while in the rest of the country temperatures will be between 20°C and 27°C. Only in the North-West and in the Po Valley could more compact clouds persist, but without significant phenomena.
