Meta will begin this week to use European users’ data to train their IA, destination AI. If you do not want your content – posts, photos, captions, comments – are used to train algorithms, you have until tonight for oppositions.
Meta has updated its privacy policy to notify users: all public content on the profiles can be used to improve its artificial intelligence systems. This also applies to past data, not just future ones.
In recent weeks, in fact, we should have received a notification on the app or an email from the destination in which we were notified as follows:
To offer you these experiences, we inform you that we will use your public information, such as posts and comments from accounts of people aged 18 or over 18 years. This includes all the public information you shared on the destination products from the creation of your account. We will also use your interactions with the functions of the AI in Meta.
We will use this information based on the legitimate interests to develop and improve the IA in the destination.

Minors are excluded from this data collection. But be careful: if they appear in posts or photos published by adults (tags, family images etc.), they could still be involved. In these cases, it is also possible to oppose them on their own.
