Luca Marzano, aka 7even, is one of the most representative faces of the new Italian musical generation. Born on 23 October 2000 in Vico Equense, in the province of Naples, he returns for the second time to the stage of the Ariston Theater – this time paired with his friend and roommate LDA – with the song “Poesie clandestine”.

The truck driver father who was a DJ: the origin of the passion for music
Aka 7even is the last of five brothers, raised in Santa Maria la Carità in the Neapolitan province in a family of humble origins. The father was a truck driver but, as a young man, he was a disc jockey: it was he who passed on the passion for music to his younger son since childhood. The mother, however, works as a cleaner. Both parents have always supported Luca’s dream, going so far as to make financial sacrifices to allow him to cultivate his talent. His brother Domenico, who is also a musician, was a constant point of reference in his life, especially in the most difficult moments.
The stage name and the coma at seven years old: the story that changed everything
The name Aka 7even is not accidental: it contains the most intense story of Luca’s life. At just seven years old, in 2008, he was struck by severe encephalitis which caused him to have an epileptic seizure. The doctors had warned the parents that the chances of survival were minimal: “He probably won’t wake up – they told his loved ones -, and if he does, he could suffer some handicaps”. Luca remained in a coma for seven days, during which his brother Domenico made him listen to songs, and it was precisely while listening to that music that the child began to cry, demonstrating that he was present. From that “seventh life” – just like cats – the stage name was born, which mixes the English “Aka” (Also Known As) with the number 7, linked to the event.
Participation in Amici20
The real turning point came with his participation in the talent show Amici (2020-2021), where he reached the final, placing third in the general ranking and second in the singing category.
His girlfriend Cristina Ferrara
On the sentimental front, Aka 7even has always preferred confidentiality. During his participation in Amici 20 he had a troubled relationship with the dancer Martina Miliddi, now the face of the Affari Tuoi program on Rai1. In the following years he maintained maximum confidentiality, declaring several times: “My private life is mine. I make music, not gossip.” He is currently engaged to Cristina Ferrara, former suitor of the program Men and Women.
Aka 7even and LDA at Sanremo 2026: “Clandestine poems”
After his individual debut at the Ariston in 2022 with “Perfetta Cosi”, Aka 7even returns to the competition together with LDA – with whom he shares his home and studio in Rome – bringing a song co-written that tells of an intense and never completely accomplished love, suspended between desire and distance. “It was the first piece we did in the studio together. We were very happy”, declared the two artists. The sounds of “Poesie clandestine” pay homage to the Neapolitan tradition, with references to the tarantella in the text. For the covers evening on February 27th, the two will perform with Tullio De Piscopo in “Andamento Slow”, the cult song presented at the 1988 Sanremo Festival.

The two have also announced a duo album, entitled “Poesie clandestine”, like the single from Sanremo, out on March 6th for Columbia/Sony Music Italy.
