There is a new protagonist in the world of confectionery temptations that is driving the palates from all over the world, it has become viral, videos of those who find it, of those who do not find it, of those who do it at home: we are talking about Dubai chocolate.
Where can you buy Dubai chocolate?
In Rome, chocolate lovers can go to Odstore (Everywhere salted dessert). A 150 grams tablet costs about 15 euros – not exactly cheap, but decidedly more accessible than the most exclusive versions that can reach 166 euros per kilo.
Lidl also launched his version called “JD Gross Dubai Style Chocolate”. The “Dubai chocolate” of the German chain is a stuffed milk chocolate tablet with 45% pistachio cream and crispy Kadayif. The product costs 3.99 euros for a 122 grams tablet (32.70 euros per kilogram).
For about a month, the Italian Retailer Esselunga has also communicated that it has supplied the shelves.

But what makes this chocolate so special? The kadayif (a crunchy phyllo paste similar to very thin angel hair) and the creaminess of the pistachioall wrapped in milk or dark chocolate. When the crunchy merges with the creamy, that magic that made this dessert famous is born.
Where does this chocolate come from?
The story of this chocolate is recent: born in 2021 at the “Fix dessert chocolatier” pastry shop in the United Arab Emirates, it quickly turned into a global phenomenon. What was initially a niche product, with numbered packs and elegant decorations, also conquered supermarket chains.
