All you can eat nightmare: 20 people intoxicated after eating sushi in Rome

What was supposed to be a convivial evening, with Christmas greetings, turned into a bad episode of food poisoning. In Rome, in a sushi restaurant”all you can eat” in the Anagnina area, a group dinner ended with severe discomfort for about twenty people.

In the following days, during the Christmas holidays, several diners began to experience abdominal pain, cramps and gastrointestinal disorders. In some cases the symptoms were so intense that hospital treatment was necessary: among those who presented themselves at the emergency room there was also a 16-year-old girl.

Fortunately, none of the reported cases were serious, but the situation was considered serious enough to trigger official reports. After the first stories that appeared on social media, the group presented a complaint to the competent ASL and the NAS, who will now have to verify the sanitary conditions of the place and the origin of the food served.

An episode that rekindles attention on food safety, especially when it comes to the consumption of raw fish and “without limits” formulas, where quantity and quality do not always go hand in hand.
