The panettone season has officially begun, and like every year between limited editions, “gourmet” versions and prices that easily exceed 10 euros even in the supermarket, finding a really good Christmas dessert without spending too much seems almost an impossible task.
The ideal would obviously be to buy an artisanal panettone, but unfortunately the prices are not exactly for all budgets. Fortunately, for those looking for something cheaper, all is not lost: in fact, there are industrial panettoni that offer a good quality-price ratio. An interesting proposal comes from Lidl.
We are talking about the Deluxe Panettone with stracciatella, included among the best products by Gambero Rosso. The Gambero Rosso seal helps the consumer to orient himself among many commercial offers, indicating the products that have passed a quality test, which took into account aspects such as ingredients, taste, consistency and presentation.
This panettone stands out for its well-executed leavening, a soft structure and a rich but not cloying aroma. The stracciatella variant – one of the most requested in recent years – combines a soft dough with dark chocolate chips and a light milk cream, which creates a flavor that is somewhat reminiscent of the famous ice cream.
A result that is surprising especially because it comes from a large-scale retail trade product.

A strong point of this product is certainly the price. Compared to the panettone of historical brands and premium editions which can easily exceed 10-15 euros, the Deluxe panettone with stracciatella costs 5.99 euros for 800 grams.
As always, the Deluxe line is only available for a limited period, until the end of the holiday season, and quantities are limited. The Stracciatella panettone has already been available in Lidl stores since the end of November but, given the interest, it is very likely that it will be sold out in the next few days.
