Bianca Balti returns to the Sanremo stage on the fourth evening of Sanremo: “I had to deal with the woman I will no longer be”

It will be one of the most anticipated presences of the evening: Bianca Balti will join Carlo Conti and Laura Pausini in the episode of duets and covers of the 2026 Sanremo Festival, scheduled for this evening, Friday 27 February. Radiant and with a dazzling smile, the model is ready to take the stage at the Ariston one year after her first experience hosting the event.

In the press conference, Balti spoke about herself in touching words, retracing the difficult path she experienced after being diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer:

The last year has been the hardest of my life. I had to grieve for the woman I was and will never be again – the one who hadn’t yet faced cancer, who didn’t have the scar splitting her body in two, who didn’t have to worry about recurrence.

The model then underlined how important it is to talk openly about what happens even after treatment:

When your hair grows back, people think you’re over it. In reality, it is precisely from that moment that the climb begins. It is a mourning that must be processed, a carefreeness that will never return.

What gave her the strength to go through this pain was the female sisterhood:

I’m only now coming out of it, also thanks to a group of women who I see online every week and who have experienced what I’ve experienced too.

A message that arrives in an edition of the Festival not immune to controversy due to the limited presence of female artists among the Big names competing, and which Balti transforms into a celebration of collective female power.

Finally, there was a moment of lightness and gratitude for the invitation received:

I’m very happy to be here. Carlo said that this is a party – I don’t usually go to parties, I’m a bit snobbish – but in this case I’m very happy to participate.

On the Ariston stage, the model will therefore bear witness to a year of great strength, transforming her experience into a message of awareness for the public.
