Breathtaking show: “Flying whales’ filled the BercK-sur-Mer sky during the Aquiloni Festival

Every April the beaches of Berck-sur-Mer, enchanting town of northern France, turn into a celestial theater for a wonderful festival dedicated to the aquiloni, the International Kite Meetings by Burck-Sur-Mer.

The edition of this year took place from 12 to 21 April and, as per tradition, attracted fans and wind artists from every corner of the planet, ready to sail the skies with hundreds of marine animals, giant rain and other surprising flying creatures.

The magic of this event lies precisely in the originality and size of the Aquiloni who, with fantastic shapes and bright colors, invade the Burck sky in one of the most anticipated events of the season.

But why really Berck-sur-Mer? The answer is simple: its large beaches not only offer a breathtaking scenario, but they are also blessed with constant twenty, ideal for making aids of all shapes and sizes dance.

After the sensational success of the 25 giant octopus who have vanished together in the sky in the 2024 edition, this year the “Masters of the Wind” have passed themselves by doing fly simultaneously the largest number of “whales” ever seen before. A breathtaking air choreography that has left everyone speechless, but also a way to pay homage to these extraordinary inhabitants of the sea and sensitize the importance of protecting them.
