On 25 and 26 October 2025, Cammina Natura returns, the national event organized by the AIGAE – Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides which reaches its seventh edition. Two days to explore the Italian territory for free, from the coasts to the peaks, from the woods to the parks, accompanied by expert professionals.
The initiative already ensures over 160 excursions distributed across all regions. These are routes suitable for all ages and levels of preparation, designed to bring the public closer to nature and raise awareness of the riches of the country. The most active regions are Basilicata, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Lombardy, Sicily and Tuscany, with over ten proposals each.
A journey between nature and culture
The itineraries range from the sources of the Morla, near Bergamo, to the Vendicari Oriented Nature Reserve in Sicily. In the middle there are the Sibillini Mountains, lesser-known landscapes and smaller villages that tell the history and traditions of the area. The objective is to enhance biodiversity, promote responsible tourism and the circular economy, rediscover ancient knowledge and local flavours.
To participate, simply visit the aigae.org website, where you can find all the useful information and details of the excursions, which will be constantly updated. Registration is mandatory but completely free.
Legality and territory: collaboration with Libera
An important novelty of this 7th edition includes the collaboration with Libera contro le Mafie, thanks to which at least five special excursions have been organized which will take participants to visit assets confiscated from organized crime. On October 25th the appointments are in Tuscany, Calabria, Basilicata and Puglia, while on October 26th it will be the turn of Emilia-Romagna.
“The 2025 edition is enriched with routes created in collaboration with LIBERA because we are convinced that legality, circular economy and responsible tourism are connected to each other and our role as guides is fundamental to making this relationship known” – explains Guglielmo Ruggiero, president of AIGAE – “I thank all the partners with whom we will be traveling around Italy on 25 and 26 October, as always we deploy enthusiasm, generosity, our experience and professionalism to make known the natural and cultural beauties of our country to the general public”.
The Cammina Natura event is carried out with the support of Rai Pubblica Utilità as media partner and the patronage of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, as well as that of important associations such as Uncem (National Union of Municipalities, Community and Mountain Bodies), Federparchi, Legambiente, LIBERA, Oltreterra, Pefc Italia, Touring Club Italiano and Wwf Italia.
