Chris Van Dorn, the hero dressed as Batman who saves cats and dogs from being killed

Chris Van Dorna young American, decided to become a hero for animalswearing the costume of Batman For save dogs and cats from euthanization in shelters. His passion for animals and admiration for the famous superhero drove him to create Batman4Pawsa nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing pets in need.

The idea came about after Van Dorn volunteered at several animal rescue organizations. He realized that wearing the Batman costume not only allowed him to remain anonymous, but it also attracted the public’s attention on the importance of adopting animals. This disguise made his missions more visible and helped raise public awareness of the critical situation of many animals in shelters.

Since 2018, Batman4Paws has rescued numerous dogs and cats, transporting them from shelters to new adoptive families throughout Florida and beyond. Van Dorn he takes care of it personally of animal transport, using his modest Honda Accord, which he affectionately calls the “Batmobile”. However, he hopes to get a larger van to increase the transport capacity and be able to save even more animals.

He also takes care of visiting children’s hospitals

Chris Van Dorn’s missions aren’t limited to transportation. Together with his dog Mr. Boots, nicknamed Robin, visits hospitals to bring a smile to hospitalized children and promote adoption events and fundraisers. The couple, dressed as Batman and Robin, become a symbol of hope and solidarity.

Due to his dedication and the positive impact of his actions, Van Dorn was nominated Honorary GoFundMe Heroreceiving financial support for its missions. With about $32,000 raised, he has been able to fund several rescue operations and hopes to continue expanding his business.

Chris Van Dorn turned his passion for animals and his love for Batman into one life missionsaving countless animals and inspiring others to do their part to help furry friends in need.
