Christmas crafts with paper cups: from garlands to snowmen, here’s how easy it is to make them

If you have some paper cups left over, Christmas is the right time to reuse them in a creative way: you can make beautiful garlands, snowmen, Christmas tree decorations and much more. Take inspiration from our DIY ideas and get to work!

Garland

With paper cups you can make a beautiful Christmas wreath: join them with hot glue and add a red ribbon loop on top. The finishing touch? A bow of the same color.

Bells

With paper cups you can make original Christmas bells, to hang on the door or on the branches of the tree.

Decorations for the tree

With paper cups you can create original decorations for the Christmas tree (with or without bells): all you have to do is decorate the glasses with Christmas stickers or themed drawings and make two small holes in the bottom of the glass to insert a ribbon, which will allow you to hang the decoration.

Christmas trees

You only need 12 glasses to make a magnificent Christmas tree: cut them in half vertically, paint them all green except for the last two, which should be brown like the trunk. Decorate them with buttons of various colors, attaching them with hot glue. Attach the glasses to a tree-shaped green cardboard stand and add a star made from ice cream sticks.

If you want to go overboard and have lots of paper cups available, you could even create a real Christmas tree!

Snowman

The snowman is very simple: just take the paper cup (naturally white), attach a piece of adhesive tape of the color of your choice around the glass, and trace the snowman’s eyes, nose and mouth with markers.
