Cingoli is the Borgo dei Borghi 2026: the charming municipality of Macerata thus wins the title of the 13th edition. The victory was announced on the evening of Easter 5 April during the usual Rai 3 broadcast ‘Kilimanjaro’ presented by Camila Raznovichafter a vote among 20 finalists which took place between March 1st and March 22nd on the page of the RAI website dedicated to the competition.

The vote and the prize
The voting for the competition announced by Rai3 took place, as always, both by a jury of experts and by the public, called to indicate their favorite village among 20, one for each region of Italy. All the competing villages were the subject of an episode of the program Il Kilimanjaro, which was broadcast every Sunday from 4.45pm to 6.55pm from 19 October 2025 to 24 May 2026.
Each village was then presented on the website www.rai.it/borgodeiborghi through a video, a shortened version of the one broadcast during the program, through the display of a photo and a short descriptive text.
The final votes then took place from 1 to 22 March 2026, and the winner was announced during the episode of 5 April 2026: it is Cingoli, a characteristic and evocative village in the province of Macerata, awarded for its artistic heritage, landscape and identity which has remained intact over time.
