Did the Ryanair flight really started late because it blocked for Paolo Ruffini? The actor clarifies what happened

In recent days, a video by Paolo Ruffini has made the rounds of social networks, unleashing a controversy over his alleged responsibility in the delay of a Ryanair flight from Crotone. The actor was accused of blocking the plane for his late arrival, generating sarcastic criticisms and comments from users.

During the radio program Radio Up & DownRuffini wanted to clarify the story personally, specifying that it is a false news. The journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi, present aboard the flight, also strengthened this version.

According to Nuzzi, the delay was not connected to the actor, but it was due to a technical problem in the cabin, which the staff was already solving. The misunderstanding was born from a joking curtain of Ruffini, taken up by a passenger and published on Tiktok with a misleading title, giving the impression that the actor was the cause of the delay.

The testimony of Gianluigi Nuzzi

Nuzzi reconstructed the facts: he was in the front row and noticed that, despite everyone was already on board, the plane did not take off. After asking for explanations from the steward, he was communicated that there was a technical failure. At that point, Ruffini improvised a playful gag:

He improvised a playful curtain, turning to the other passengers and ironically saying that the plane would take off shortly, they only had to finish “making diesel and washing the windows before leaving.

The video was subsequently shared on Tiktok with a deceptive title, erroneously attributing the fault of Ruffini’s delay. Nuzzi commented:

We are in the theater of the absurd. From a joke is born false news that bounces everywhere. This type of fake news kills people’s spontaneity. There are those who took photos and videos and we thought it ended there. But after a few days I received a message from Paolo with a link to the news published by a Roman newspaper, who filmed the video reported by a user on Tiktok. This person had resumed the scene and invented the title, attributing Ruffini to delay. All false.
