If you love cycling and want to immerse yourself in nature, the cycle path that connects Milan to Lecco along the Adda and the Martesana it could be the perfect itinerary for you. This fascinating journey of 75 kilometers passes through green and lush landscapes, offering a splendid escape from the city frenzy to explore the heart of the Adda Park.

The departure is set in Milan, in via Melchiorre Gioia where the Central Station is located, where the cycle path that runs along the Naviglio della Martesana begins. Pedaling along the right bank of the canal, you pass through the suggestive centers of Vimodrone, Cernusco sul Naviglio and Cassina dei Pecchiuntil reaching Gorgonzola. This town, famous for the cheese that bears its name, is worth a visit, especially during the September festival dedicated to gorgonzola.

Continuing north, you pass through Inzago and Cassano d’Adda. Here, before crossing the river, you divert along a cycle path which it alternates dirt and asphalt sectionsfollowing the course of the Adda. This stretch offers breathtaking views, with deep gorges and corners of absolute peace. The surrounding nature is a true paradise for lovers of greenery.

Arrived at Paderno d’Addaa stop is a must to visit the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Rocchetta, a small church perched on a rocky spur which dominates the river. From here, the route continues north, allowing you to glimpse the Lake Garlatewhich can be reached by passing the municipalities of Calolziocorte and Olginate.

The last stretch of the route runs alongside the lake, passing through Garlate and Pescate, before crossing a bridge which offers an enchanting view of Lake Como. Finally, we get to Leccoa city with romantic charm, nestled between the mountains and immersed in a green valley.
