A bench in the garden is always useful, and it is not said that you have to buy it by force: with a pinch of manual skills you can build it independently. You will need at least two old chairs, the color paint you prefer, sandpaper and some tailor -made wooden strips to be used as a seat.
To make it, remove the original seats from the chairs, alongside and add it to the seat with the strips or a custom -cut wooden table. The final length of the bench will depend on the number of chairs you will use.
You can use both chairs of the same type and different models, as long as they have similar dimensions. Before painting them, remember to smooth them with the sandpaper to make the color adhere better.
If desired, you can add strips on the backrest to give greater stability to the bench. Leaving them of the natural color of the wood you will get a nice contrast with the painted chairs.
Do you want an out of the ordinary bench? Instead of supporting the chairs, try to arrange them in front of the other, as in the example: the result will surprise you!
Of course, depending on the type of chairs used and the color with which you will paint them, you will get a single -style bench: rustic, vintage, romantic or contemporary.
You can also remove the legs from the chairs by fixing seats and backs on an old bench. A decidedly original idea!
