DIY witch hat: how to make it with your own hands at (almost) zero cost

Halloween is approaching but you haven’t decided which costume to wear yet? There are an infinite number of them but if you want to stay classic, the witch always makes a good impression. Furthermore, the witch costume does not require great effort to create: a simple total black dress combined with the right hat may be enough. If you don’t have it yet, take inspiration from the DIY ideas we have selected, they are simple and beautiful.

Cloth witch hat

It is probably the most complex to make but the result is spectacular: after creating the base of the hat with wire, you will have to cover both the circular base and the cone with black fabric. Here you can find the complete CAGW tutorial.

Witch hat with adhesive film

Get some transparent adhesive film and use it to create the hat with autumn leaves. Here are the main steps of the tutorial proposed by “Little Pine Learners”.

Cardboard witch hat

With two (large) sheets of cardboard, one black and one red, you can make a beautiful DIY witch’s hat. Just make some cuts in the center of the black cardboard, make a cone using the red sheet and insert the latter into the center of the previous one. Once the hat is finished, you can have fun with the decorations.

Witch hat headband

The ideal alternative to the classic hat is the haunted headband: you can make it with black felt, following the steps explained in the “Lia Griffith” tutorial. Once ready, all you have to do is attach it to the black circle with hot glue.
