Do not fall into this error on Easter Monday: where to properly dispose of compostable dishes

During the Easter and Easter Monday holidays, it could happen to use US dishes such as plates, glasses, cutlery, trays and envelopes, perhaps in compostable bioplasty. But where these waste must be disposed of correctly? It is a very common mistake, but it is important to be careful to avoid confusing the materials.

In Italy, i Traditional plastic plates and glasses are now bannedreplaced by alternatives such as those in biodegradable and compostable bioplasty. But not everyone knows how to dispose of them correctly. To clarify, the Biorepack consortium was born, the first in Europe for the organic recovery of bioplastics.

According to Gino Schiona, general manager of Biorepack, all compostable bioplasty objects, such as shoppers, bags, trays, dishes and glasses, must be conferred in the wet organic.

The most common error is to throw them into plastic or in the undifferentiated, but if labeled with the “compostable bioplastic” brand and the appropriate certifications, they must be disposed of correctly between organic waste.

This right disposal is essential, because it allows you to transform these materials into quality compost, useful for improving soils and counteracting desertification. During the holidays, therefore, we always read the labels and pay attention to where we throw dishes, glasses and US trays to do our part in preserving the environment.
