The Ministry of Health issued a precautionary food recall on March 5, 2026 on some batches of chocolate Easter eggs produced by Marchesi 1824, the historic Milanese brand of the Prada Group. The provision was published on the ministerial website the following day.
The cause of the recall is the possible presence of metallic foreign bodies in the product. As per practice in these cases, it is recommended not to consume the product and return it to the point of sale, where it will be possible to obtain a refund or an exchange at par.

The recall concerns exclusively the batches between L1260209 and L1260303, produced in the factory in via Orobia 3 in Milan. The references involved are:
The minimum shelf life indicated on the recalled batches is 9 April or 9 May 2026. All other packages, not included in the reported batches, are to be considered safe.
