Elevated lead levels, zinc-based food supplements recalled: the two batches to watch out for

The Ministry of Health has communicated the recall, ordered by the manufacturer, of two batches of liposomal zinc and one batch of Vistal-Gea, both under the Arcangea brand. The cause of the measure is the notification by the supplier of the raw material of the presence of high levels of lead.

The supplements were produced by Arcangea Srl in the factory in via Gessi 18, in Borghi (FC).

It should be noted that the recall measures date back to the period between 7 and 13 April 2026, but the Ministry only published the notices on 29 April, with a delay of two to three weeks.

As a precaution, it is recommended not to consume the products belonging to the indicated lots. Anyone in possession of the recalled supplements can return them to the store where they were purchased.
