Elio Germano unites the big names in music in a concert with international hits translated into Roman dialect: the entire proceeds will go to Sant’Egidio

The frankness of the Roman tradition is transformed into a powerful vehicle of solidarity and social redemption. On June 25th, the evocative setting of the Cavea of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone will host Pane ar pane – artists for Sant’Egidio, an extraordinary choral event born from an idea of the actor Elio Germano with tickets available here.

The title of the event deliberately evokes the typical Capitoline expression synonymous with immediacy and transparency, reflecting the desire to carry out a direct and rhetoric-free support action. The entire proceeds from ticket sales will in fact be donated to the Community of Sant’Egidio to finance welfare activities in the area, including the management of canteens, food distribution centres, schools of peace, language courses and humanitarian corridors for the homeless and the most vulnerable people.

International milestones translated into Roman dialect

The artistic heart of the project lies in a bold cultural experiment: the great classics of world pop and rock have been entirely rewritten in Roman dialect thanks to the textual revision carried out by the author Emma Gainsforth. Weaving the sound plot of this fascinating musical transition is the noir-folk formation of Ardecore, led by Giampaolo Felici, who for the occasion collaborated with notable multi-instrumentalists on the Italian scene such as Adriano Viterbini and Nicola Manzan.

The live evening, which will be officially presented by Rai Radio 2 presenter Martina Martorano, will see many well-known faces from Italian cinema and song taking turns on stage, including Brunori Sas, Paola Cortellesi, Willie Peyote, Valeria Solarino, Noemi, Margherita Vicario, all present completely free of charge.
