Lidl Deluxe Colomba with pistachio and white chocolate: ingredients

The 750 gram package is a dove without candied citrus peels – not a random choice, given that the younger public tends not to like them. In their place, a filling with pistachio cream which makes up 15.5% of the product and contains 10% real pistachio paste. The dough is covered with dark chocolate and decorated with white chocolate (3%).

The list of ingredients is decidedly long:

Of note is the presence of spirulina as a natural colorant – probably used to accentuate the green of the icing – and an alcohol content of 0.8%. The packaging warns that the product contains alcohol, and also reports the possible presence of traces of other nuts and mustard.

On the nutritional front, 100 grams provide approximately 408 kcal, with 19 grams of fat (of which 12 saturated), 50 grams of carbohydrates and 7.5 grams of proteins. A standard serving is listed as 83 grams.

Who produces the Deluxe Lidl pistachio colomba?

As already happens with other desserts in the Deluxe line, Lidl does not produce the Colomba directly but relies on an external laboratory. In this case, the manufacturer is Maina Panettoni SpA, a confectionery company founded in 1964 and based in Fossano, in the province of Cuneo.
