THE’barley It is a precious cereal rich in ownership and with very ancient origins, of which there are various types, from the pearl to the whole. Today, however, we do not want to focus on its uses in the kitchen, but show you some alternative uses in the name of creativity.
Collage
With barley you can make a beautiful do -it -yourself collage: select some tempera colors, pour them into as many saucers and dip the barley grains in the different colors. Let them dry and in the meantime traces the shape of a design of your choice on a sheet of cardboard. Fill the spaces of the shape with the colored beans, gluing them with strong glue.
Mandala with das and barley
Do you like mandalas? You can make a circle with the das and give life to the mandala using colored barley grains. Just press them one by one in the soft das and once the mandala is finished, let it harden.
Doll
You can use barley as a “padding” of a handmade doll: recover the remnants of fabric and sewing together to give shape to the puppet, before adding the head, fill the barley body.
Musical instrument with bottle
Recover a bottle and fill half with barley, close it with the cap and use it as a musical instrument!
