Even if you do not have an ISEE updated to December 2025, you are not excluded from any form of financial support for the family.
Various support measures, in fact, they can also be requested in the absence of an ISEE, albeit with reduced amounts or without any increases.
However, it is important to remember that starting from January 2026 it will be necessary to resubmit an updated ISEE to continue to correctly receive the bonuses linked to the economic situation of the family unit and to obtain the full amounts required by law. Without a new valid ISEE, INPS will continue to pay only the minimum amounts or may suspend or re-determine some benefits.
Despite this, in the month of December 2025 several remain active family bonuses accessible even without ISEE, first of all the Universal Single Allowance.
Universal Single Allowance (AUU)
The Universal Single Allowance (AUU) represents one of the most inclusive tools of the Italian welfare system for families with dependent children. Introduced to simplify and unify existing aid, it is paid monthly by INPS to all families with minor children or adult children up to 21 years of age, if they meet certain requirements (such as study, internship or work with low incomes). For children with disabilities, there are no age limits.
The monthly amount of the allowance varies based on the ISEE, the number of children, the age and the presence of particular conditions (such as young mothers, large families or disabled children). However, even those who do not present the ISEE can request the allowance: in this case, the minimum amount established by law is automatically recognized, currently equal to approximately 57.50 euros per month for each minor child.
Those who have not yet submitted an application can also do so in December, without the ISEE requirement. It is important to know, however, that an updated ISEE allows you to obtain higher amounts and, if it is presented within the established deadlines, it can give you the right to adjustments or retroactive increases. Nursery Bonus 2025: accessible even without ISEE, but only with the minimum amount
The 2025 Nursery Bonus offers concrete support to families with children up to three years old, covering the costs of public and private nursery fees, or for home care in cases of serious certified pathologies.
Also for this bonus, the amount varies based on the ISEE of minors: it ranges from a maximum of 3,000 euros per year (up to 3,600 euros for children born from 2024 onwards), to a minimum of 1,500 euros per year for those who have a high ISEE or do not submit any ISEE declaration.
If you apply without an ISEE, you will only receive the minimum amount (1,500 euros/year), without the possibility of recovering any differences if you decide to present an updated ISEE at a later time. This also applies in the event of an incorrect, expired or non-compliant ISEE.
An important aspect to consider is that some Regions or Municipalities have additional requirements: in certain cases, the lack of ISEE can completely exclude access to the bonus. For this reason, it is always useful to consult local institutional portals.
New Born Bonus 2025
INPS has activated the New born bonus, a one-off amount of €1,000 for each child born or adopted by 1 January 2025. The service for submitting applications is active and operational via SPID/CIE/CNS on the INPS portal which has extended the initial deadline of 60 days to 120 days from birth/adoption to simplify access to the measure. Also for this bonus An ISEE is not always mandatory, but there may be economic or residence criteria to be verified during the application phase.
Other aid accessible without ISEE, but which is not included in the family bonuses
There are also other incentives and deductions that do not require the presentation of the ISEE, but which are not directly attributable to family bonuses. Among these we find:
Pay attention to the ISEE deadline: what happens from January 2026
The ISEE has valid for one year and expires on December 31, 2025. This means that from January 2026 it will be necessary to present a new updated ISEE to continue to correctly receive the family bonuses and obtain the full amounts foreseen by INPS.
In the absence of a valid ISEE:
Submit the ISEE by February 2026 it allows you to avoid reductions and, for some measures such as the Single Allowance, to obtain any arrears if required by law.
Although useful, these tools cannot replace structured family bonuses, nor do they guarantee the same level of ongoing support.
