A path of growth through three editions
Born as a cultural promotion project against gender stereotypes, Borgo in Rosa has been able to evolve by keeping his mission firm: exploring female self -determination and contrasting inequalities. The first edition of 2023 had seen journalists, writers, artists and activists protagonists committed to telling the experiences of Empowerment and gender equality, while the 2024 edition had placed the emphasis on women’s health and body, from prevention to sexual well -being, from sports inclusion to emotional health.
This year the focus moves to creativity understood as “identity, rebirth and future”. A choice that is not accidental: in an era in which women are redefining their spaces in the world of work and art, creativity becomes a powerful tool of personal and social affirmation.
The program
The program of Borgo in Rosa 2025 opens already Friday 26 September with a Pre party at the Soldatino bar of Anguillara Sabazia. From 18.30 readings, music and good wine will accompany the presentation evening, which will also have a special function: a fundraising to support the main event. Among the guests, the writer Giulia Caminito and the activist Marta Civica, protagonists of a meeting that combines culture and participation.
October 4: talk, workshops and networking at the center of the event
As in previous editions, also this year there are interventions of professionals and authoritative voices who will share their experiences. But Borgo in Rosa is not limited to Speech: the event focuses on active participation through workshops and creative sessions designed to create a concrete support network among the participants.
The formula, which has demonstrated its effectiveness in previous years with the involvement of the student network and of different figures of the Italian cultural landscape, is confirmed as winning in creating that space of dialogue and comparison that often lacks in the public debate on gender issues.
The choice of Anguillara Sabazia is not accidental. The medieval village stands on a promontory that lasts towards the center of Lake Bracciano, the third by extension of central Italy. Here, in the “La Marmotta” locality, one of the oldest Neolithic villages of the western Europe was discovered, dating back to the period between 5750 and 5260 AC a historical stratification that goes well with the idea of creativity as an identity and rebirth element.
The three locations of the event – Piazza del Comune, the garden of Federica and the Grotta del Borgo – exploit the particular conformation of this lake center to create different atmospheres, from the intimacy of the natural cave to the panoramic view of the volcanic lake. A natural stage where female creativity can express itself in dialogue with a landscape that for millennia inspires art and culture.
The appointment of 4 October promises to be an important moment for all women who see in creativity not only a passion, but a tool for personal and collective change. In a cultural panorama that still struggles to guarantee equal opportunities, initiatives such as Borgo in Rosa represent precious spaces of growth and comparison.
