Fiumicino fire, a waste deposit on flames: the sky of Rome dark cloud

New day, new fire. After the terrible explosion in a LPG distributor who shocked Rome last Friday (release dioxin), this morning a vast stake hit Fiumicino. The flames developed in the locality of Leonardo parkbehind the Da Vinci shopping center, in a waste deposit attributable to the company Paoletti Ecology. And within a few minutes a cloud, visible for several km between southern Rome and west, obscured the sky.

The gusts of wind piped the smoke towards the areas of Malagrotta, Dragona, Acilia, Ponte Galeria, Dragoncello, Spinaceto and Vitinia.

The firefighters and the civil protection teams intervened on the spot to contain and tame the fire, in addition to the local police, which is managing the traffic and safety of the area.

Due to the fire, the temporary closure of via Corona Boreale near via Idra was arranged, as well as a further stretch of the same street at the height of the Arcaplanet store, behind the shopping center.
