How does it work?
Inside the hood there is a 2 -liter turbo petrol engine that works together with an electric motor. You can choose between two versions: one of 299 horsepower and a more powerful 367 horsepower. The automatic transmission is the 7 -speed S Tronic sports transmission that Audi uses in its fastest cars.
With the most powerful version, the car starts from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 5 seconds – faster than many sports cars. The maximum speed is 250 km/h, but obviously always respecting the speed limits.
How many km does it only with the electric
The most interesting part is that you can drive for more than 100 kilometers using only electricity, without consuming even a drop of petrol. The 299 horsepower sedan version even reaches 105 km. This means that to go to work, shopping or getting around the city, you will often never use gasoline.
To recharge the battery, just attach the car to the socket (you need the 11 kW special one) and in about 2 and a half hours it is ready. There is no fast recharge as in fully electric cars, but for daily use it is fine.
The car he thinks alone
A smart thing about this Audi is that “think” when using petrol and when electricity. If you put the destination in the navigator, the car understands what is the best way to get there by consuming less. You can also decide to keep the battery charged to use it later, or to recharge it while you go to the highway.
When you go beyond 65 km/h, the petrol engine can recharge the battery while guide, so you arrive at your destination with more electricity available.
Comfort and technologies
The car has the suspensions that automatically adapt to the road and the four -wheel drive four (which means that all four wheels receive the strength of the engine). This makes it safe even when it rains or snows.
Inside there is all the best of Audi technology: touch screen, Android Auto, driving assistants that help you park and be in the lane, and even integrated chatgpt to ask questions to the car. The headlights are the latest generation OLEDs that light the road better.
How much it costs and what it includes
You can choose between the classic sedan version or the Avant (that type of station wagon, more spacious).
There are three arrangements: Business, Business Advanced and S line edition.
Even the basic version already has everything you need: 18 -inch wheels, heated seats, three -zone automatic air conditioning, parking sensors with camera and wireless charging for the phone.
Prices start from 64,300 euros for the 299 horsepower sedan, while Avant costs 66,700 euros. If you want the most powerful 367 horsepower version, you need to take into account at least 75,650 euros.
Is it really better?
The Audi A5 E-Hybrid is perfect for those who want a premium car but also attentive to the environment. With over 100 km of electric autonomy, most of your daily movements will be zero emissions. When you need more autonomy for long trips, there is always the petrol engine that takes you everywhere.
It is a good compromise between the comfort of a traditional car and the advantages of the electricity, without the anxiety of staying on foot that still have many people with fully electrical cars.
