In the last few hours, many of the most popular apps and sites in the world are not working properly or it is impossible to access. The technical problems also concern the AI platform Perplexity, games such as Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Pokémon Go, Fortnite, as well as the well-known Duolingo app, used to learn foreign languages, and Vodafone.

But what is happening? Apparently, these malfunctions have a common cause, that is, a problem that concerns Amazon Web Services, the cloud computing service that provides the infrastructure on which much of the Internet is based. The company said it had experienced “increases in error rates” and delays with “several AWS services.”
