From personalized greeting tickets to calendars, here’s how to recycle old postcards with a pinch of creativity

The postcards are now a bit out of fashion, but those who love paper often cannot do without it. There are those who still send them and those who collect them with passion. Then there are those who simply don’t know what to do with them and have been accumulating them for years in the drawers. Instead of leaving them to take dust, we offer you some creative ideas to reuse them.

Personalized greeting cards

The postcards report both photographs and graphics or illustrations: cut out the most beautiful and significant images, then glue them on a white card bent in half, giving life to an original collage.

Bookmarks

Second idea? The artistic bookmark! Just cut the postcard horizontally in order to obtain a rectangle, practice a hole on the upper part and insert a ribbon. If you want to make the bookmark more resistant, you could plasticize it.

Artistic collage

With the old postcards you can make original artistic collages: choose the most beautiful images and glue them on a sheet of cardboard, then insert everything in a frame and voila, your collage will be ready to decorate the wall.

Christmas decorations

What if the old postcards turn into decorations for the Christmas tree? Just trace the Christmas shapes, such as stars, hearts, omins of gingerbreads, and cut them out. Practice a hole on the top and put on a piece of string or ribbon to be able to hang them.

Personalized calendars

If you have at least 12 different postcards, we suggest you scan them and use them to create a nice personalized calendar. Each image can be positioned above the corresponding month, while below you can add the calendar with the days and dates.
