“Good luck”: the podcast (necessary) against gender violence presented to the Chamber of Deputies

About a month is missing from the launch of “Good luck”, The new podcast that explores the theme of gender -based violence, intertwining information, stories and psychological and legal contributions, clearly and above all with respect. This morning the project, signed by good luck and co-produced by Buytron and Greenme, was presented to the press room of the Chamber of Deputies.

In the presentation event, which we also took part in the editorial staff, the honorable Martina Semenzato, president of the parliamentary commission of investigation on femicide, Dr. Valerio De Gioia, councilor of the Court of Appeal of Rome and legal consultant of the commission of inquiry on feminicide, director Iris Gaeta and the psychologist Margherita Filosa, attended.

“Gender violence does not concern only women, it concerns everyone. – recalled the honorable Martina Semenzato – knowledge is the first step to recognize certain mechanisms and therefore we through this podcast we have identified a way to help ourselves”.

Designed by the director Iris Gaeta and by the psychologist Margherita Filosa, the project for the good luck is supported by the parliamentary commission of investigation into femicide, chaired by the honorable Martina Semenzato, who strongly wanted the podcast as an institutional and cultural popularization tool.

“The podcast was born for a dual objective, perhaps a little ambitious: we would like to reach the individual, both man and woman. We talked about the victim, of everything that also lives on a psychological level and of all the tracks that leaves the trauma of violence, but also of the author of violence. It was very important to discuss this because unfortunately little is still talked about.

So we would like to provide support, concrete tools and useful information to those who are in this invisible prison of violence. In addition, we would like to put a small brick to build a wider collective awareness because you have to start from there “

A podcast (necessary) that speaks to everyone

“Good luck” will be available from early July on all platforms. Each episode (in total 7 + 2 extra) will face a crucial knot: from psychological to economic violence to rehabilitation paths for those who commit violence; And it will involve professionals, activists and victims.

Among the guests: the journalist Adriana Pannitteri, the actress Valeria Solarino, the criminologist Gabriella Salvatore, the activist Laura de Dilectis (Donnexstrada), the gynecologist Antonella Bonaccorsi and the lawyer Ilenia Guerrieri.

“We have chosen a human language, easy and accessible, just to give everyone the opportunity – who knows the theme, who wants to know more, who is a victim, or whoever wants to understand – to feel involved” explains Iris Gaeta.

Our contribution against gender violence

Greenme has decided to support and cover this project on gender -based violence, there are 16 years we deal with environmental information and respect for the planet, but also of rights, giving voice to those who do not have it.

Gender violence is not a private question: it is a collective emergency, an open wound in our society. Face it with lucidity, empathy and rigor is a duty. With this podcast we want to contribute to break the silence, To offer tools of understanding, to create a space in which the stories, analyzes and voices of those who live (directly or indirectly) the drama of violence reality can really be listened to.
