Google.com for all, goodbye to national domains, we greet our Google.it

Stop to the various google.it, google.nl, google.uketc.: soon it will be Google.com for everyoneregardless of the country from where you connect. The company of Mountain View has just announced the farewell to all national domains, a epochal change However – reassures – will not interfere with navigation or with the laws of individual countries.

When you search on Google (and in general on search engines), generally the results are indexed as relevant to the local level. So so far have been used national first level names (CCTLD), such as Google.ng for Nigeria or Google.com.br for Brazil, and ours Google.it.

Over the years, our ability to offer a local experience has improved – but now the company writes in a press release – in 2017, we started offering the same experience with local results to all those who used research, regardless of using Google.com or the CCTLD of their country. Thanks to this improvement, National domains are no longer necessary

The traffic will soon be Reddirized by these CCTLD to Google.com: The change will be gradually implemented in the coming months and it may be requested to reintegrate some of the research preferences during the process.

It is important to note that although this update will change what users see in the browser addresses bar, it will not affect the Research operationnor will the way we manage the obligations provided for by national laws

In fact, a truly epochal change.
