Grana Padano DOP recalled due to the presence of foreign bodies: brand and batches not to be consumed

The Ministry of Health recently issued an alarm regarding some products based on Grana Padano DOP, sold in pre-cut and packaged formats. The alert was triggered after reports of a potential physical risk for consumers due to the possible presence of foreign bodies in the trays.

The measure, as often happens in these cases, was taken as a precaution to ensure food safety.

How to recognize the recalled Grana Padano DOP

The recall concerns the Maestri Formaggiai branded Grana Padano DOP sticks, packaged in 200 gram trays. The product is made and packaged by the Colla SpA company in the Cadeo factory, in the province of Piacenza.

The affected tubs have already been removed from stores, but some consumers may have purchased them and still have them in their refrigerators.

What to do if you have purchased the product

Consumers who have purchased Grana Padano Sticks from the reported batches must not consume them. You can return the packages to the place of purchase for a refund or replacement.
