They also have me in Italy! In fact, the wonderful spectacle of the Sakura flowering, the cherry flower, is not an exclusive of Japan: we can experience the experience of Hanami also in the heart of our cities.
In Rome, Hanami is celebrated near the Eur lake, where over a thousand Japanese cherries offer an unforgettable show. Every year, enthusiasts of Japanese culture gather, often dressed in Kimono, to observe the flowering of the Sakura and celebrate the beauty of nature that invades the capital.
Milan, the capital of fashion, also offers an equally suggestive experience. Here, the art of admiring the flowers takes on a unique beauty, which merges with the history of the city.

Where to admire the Hanami in Milan
The Magnolie in Fiore

In the beating heart of Milan, just next to the imposing cathedral, two wonderful Magnolie are hidden that tell a story of delicate beauty. On the side of the Archbishopro, a delayed magnolia releases flowers in shades of pink and purple, while on the other side, towards Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a starry magnolia shows itself with a host of white flowers such as the marble of the Cathedral.
Tommaseo piazza
Nestled between Liberty houses and the silent church of Santa Maria Segreta, Piazza Tommaseo is a forgotten jewel. The Tebaldi garden here houses Magnolie with bright colors, which has become a paradise for photographers and dreamers over time.
Cherry hill in Viale Sarca

Viale Sarca, Bicocca area, houses the Ciliegi hill, a landscape work inaugurated in 2007. Here over 800 trees, including Prunus Serrulata “Kanzan” and Prunus Avium, create an atmosphere reminiscent of Japanese gardens. Not far away, the Sarca park completes this spring fresco with Magnolie with white and pink flowers.
Trees’ Library
Behind the Unicredit tower, this park turns into a kaleidoscope of colors. Thousands of bulbs planted in recent weeks begin to blossom, while the famous balconies of the vertical forest are covered in their most colorful clothes.
Breast
Between March and April, Brera awakens from her winter sleep. The historic light flowers and dark flowers are covered with a palette of colors and perfumes. The botanical garden of the Academy of Fine Arts becomes a further stage of this vegetable rebirth.
Milan shows that Hanami is not an exclusive privilege of Japan, but an experience that can be experienced wherever there are eyes ready to admire the delicate beauty of nature in awakening.
