Harry Potter fan? This magical Christmas tree is driving everyone crazy (and Hedwig is also at the top)

There is a place that fans of the most famous boy wizard in the world just can’t miss this Christmas. In King’s Cross station, in London where it all began, a gigantic 9.50 meter high Christmas tree has appeared, but not just any one: an installation entirely dedicated to the Harry Potter universe.

A recreation of Hogsmeade featuring Honeydukes

Hundreds of decorations in Gryffindor shades appear among the branches, letters addressed to young Harry and gift packages imagined for the most beloved characters of the saga. And of course Hedwig cannot be missing, perched proudly at the top with a new message to deliver.

The base of the tree is perhaps the most fascinating part: a miniature reconstruction of the snow-covered shops of Hogsmeade, with white roofs and illuminated windows that seem straight out of the films. From this small enchanted village the tree rises, which almost seems to emerge from the shops as if magic had come to life between the beams.

The sweetest surprise, however, is the presence of a real Mielandia counter, the Hogsmeade sweet shop integrated into the structure. Here visitors can purchase some of the most iconic products of the magical world: from Tuttigusti+1 Jellies to the ever-present Chocolate Frogs, up to Butterbeer-flavoured biscuits and bottles of the famous drink.

A symbolic place for a unique installation

The choice of location is not random. King’s Cross is in fact the home of the unforgettable Platform 9¾, the point from which every young witch and wizard leaves for Hogwarts. Seeing the tree just a few steps away creates an immediate connection with the story, as if the muggle world and the magical world really touched each other.

Between plays of golden light and constant references to the saga, this tree has become one of the most photographed attractions in London in just a few days. An installation that combines nostalgia, fantasy and Christmas spirit and which has transformed a simple train station into a corner of pure magic.
