Almost two months have passed since then And that puppy, a female of 3 kg, continues to be reactive and continues his path oriented to the reintroduction in nature. The goal is precisely to free Nina in her natural habitat, providing her with all possible support so that she can survive without becoming confidant towards man.
For this reason, contact with the staff has been reduced to a minimum and Nina has also committed a lot. Since its entry into the center of the body, the little girl has learned for example to eat directly from the bowl. It was not as easy as it was not obvious that it could so quickly.
Just in recent days, another small important milestone has been reached on the path to the reimmission of Nina in nature. As announced in May, the plan planned to transfer Nina to a special area of โโthe nature reserve of the Feudo Feudo of the Forestry Carabinieri.
Now Nina is located in a new structure more similar to the one it will meet once the boundaries of the fence that hosts her. His weaning can be concluded, but his adventure continues under the supervision of the experts involved.
Nina is not the first bear rescued by the park
The story of Nina, the bear found while wandering alone near Pizzone, entered the hearts of people and everyone cheers for her. Those who followed the story continue to wait confidently updates on their conditions exactly as it was done for the Morena bear.
In fact, Nina is not the first bear puppy saved from the park a few months old. In the distant 2015 it was touched in Morena, an orphaned ersetta reported in Villavallelonga. The protocol was the same adopted for Nina. A year later, in May 2016, Morena returned to run free in the Prati d’Abruzzo. This video takes it between the landscape.
A year with Morena
A year later, with Morena free in nature these days, last year, the Orsetta Morena was found in the municipality of Villavallelonga. A year has passed since then and now we want to show it free in nature. They are unpublished images collected a few days ago by the park staff who, with attention and necessary distance, continues to monitor Morena thanks to the satellite radio control. Now we can admire it after the hibernation and begin to pull a first breath of relief: it has passed the winter, it is well and from a few weeks ago its first explorations. We must not forget that the path with Morena is long and, before definitively decreasing the success of the release project in nature, we must overcome other checks. In the images, kept by the mountains of the park, we observe it intent on eating and exploring the territory, who pass him close to him. These are images that testify to the charm of “newspaper” in nature, gratifying ourselves with the work done, even if we know that we must still cross your fingers and wait for all the difficulties that it involves living alone, at its age, has the great merit of having approached and passionate many people to the destiny of a splendid animal such as the Marsican brown bear, and to have given the opportunity, to tell us, to tell us. daily is carried out by the park for the conservation of this extraordinary animal. “Being able to spread the images of the Orsetta Morena free in nature, one year after its discovery, is a great satisfaction, – comments Antonio Carrara President of the Park – the result of a constant work that is not yet finished. We do it to provide information to the many who have become passionate about the story of Morena, but also because we believe we consider it to give an account of the work that the park does, in total transparency, albeit with the discretion and confidentiality requires “. As we have done so far we will continue to tell you about the life of Morena and his newfound freedom …

Strengthened by Morena’s experience, the technicians consulted by the park have engaged in this new and complicated operation. Rescue a wild animal is never easy and, even in the face of positive signals, the happy ending is not guaranteed. But, as for Morena, we hope that Nina also has her happy ending.
The latter recovery is only one of the testimonies of the very hard work of all those who activate and intervene for the well -being of wildlife.
