The meeting started off uphill for Sinner: Zverev in fact, he took the first set from our champion, after a hard-fought match tie breakeventually taken home by the German 9 to 7. But the Italian’s response was not long in coming: Jannik then won the next three sets, significantly raising the level of his match.

Sinner he was the first Italian in history to win Wimbledon, not even our immense champions of the past had ever managed it.
