We chose to purchase a third-party kit, complete with wooden, metal supports and other objects ideal for experimenting with different engraving techniques.
The greenMe puzzle
Our first project was a custom puzzle, we started by creating the digital graphics, then printed and glued onto a rough wooden support. After calibrating the machine, specifically the built-in camera, we imported a vector image of the puzzle and overlaid it on the printed artwork. Once the positioning was done, we started cutting following the instructions of the Live to Born software.
The machine demonstrated excellent speed: for a puzzle measuring 20 x 20 cm the processing time was approximately 15 minutes, while for a smaller one (15 x 15 cm) 10 minutes were enough. We obtained a precise result with attention to every detail.
The greenMe key ring
For our second project, we engraved the logo on two wooden key rings. Although the millimetric alignment required a little patience and precision, the result was very satisfactory, especially considering that it was the first experience.
The machine proved to be precise in managing the engraving, guaranteeing a clear and well-defined design. It was an excellent opportunity to test the positioning functionality of the laser and to better understand the tolerance margin required when machining such small objects.
