How to prepare chestnuts in the air fryer: perfect roasted chestnuts in just 20 minutes

It’s time for chestnuts, the autumn fruit par excellence! There are various ways and recipes to cook them: from classic oven cooking to pan cooking, through boiling which makes them softer. But have you ever tried cooking them in the air fryer? For those who have it at home it represents a real turning point. In fact, in addition to being fast, air cooking is an infallible method that allows you to peel chestnuts easily, without making any mess and, above all, without needing to soak them.

Let’s find out how to prepare them in a few simple steps. Their taste is practically identical to that of roasted chestnuts cooked in the classic pan with holes. Try it to believe it!

The steps to follow

To roast chestnuts in the air fryer, obtain the quantity you want to cook and start by making an incision of at least 2 cm in the chestnuts using a knife. Place them in the basket of your air fryer. Proceed by cooking them at 180° for about twenty minutes.

Halfway through cooking, open the fryer and turn the chestnuts so that they cook evenly. After twenty minutes, remove the chestnuts from the basket and wait for them to cool for a few minutes before starting to peel them. Place them in a cloth and squeeze them a little, you’ll see how easily you can remove the peel and skin!

Enjoy them while still warm with or without a sprinkling of salt.

Enjoy your meal!
