Add 100 g of brown sugar, mixing until smooth. Gradually add 350 g of sifted spelled flour to avoid lumps. Add the grated zest of an orange, a pinch of salt and a sachet of organic baking powder.

Pour the mixture into an oiled and floured mold and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden, checking the cooking with a toothpick. Leave to cool and, for an extra touch, fill with homemade jam or decorate with some almonds.

Orange cake without butter

You can prepare your orange cake without butter, and to do so you will have to beat 3 eggs with 150 g of sugar and a pinch of salt until you obtain a light and fluffy mixture. Switch to the hand whisk and add 150 ml of sunflower seed oil, 150 ml of orange juice and, if you prefer, the grated orange zest.

Gradually add 220 g of sifted 00 flour with 15 g of baking powder, mixing gently. Pour the mixture into a 26 cm diameter mold, lined with baking paper, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 35 minutes. Once baked, brush the surface with apricot jam and sprinkle with grated coconut.

Orange caprese cake

To prepare the Caprese Orange Cakestart by mixing the powders in a bowl: add 125 g of almond flour, 75 g of icing sugar, 30 g of cornstarch and 8 g of baking powder. Add the grated zest of 2 oranges and 100 g of coarsely chopped white chocolate.

In another bowl, break 3 eggs and whip them with an electric whisk until they double in volume, obtaining a creamy mixture. Add the whipped eggs to the dry ingredients and mix, then add 50 g of extra virgin olive oil. Mix well with a spatula and transfer the mixture into a 22 cm springform pan, buttered and floured.

Cook in a preheated fan oven at 180°C for 30-35 minutes. Leave to cool, dust with icing sugar and enjoy your Orange Caprese Cake.

Sugar-free orange cake

To prepare this sugar-free orange cake, beat 2 eggs and 50 g of erythritol with an electric mixer for 2-3 minutes. Add 50ml of melted coconut oil and a little vanilla. Wash an orange (about 250 g), cut it into pieces, removing the seeds, and blend it with 30 ml of almond milk until you obtain a cream. Add the orange cream to the mixture and add 160 g of type 2 flour, 40 g of sifted potato starch and a sachet of yeast. Mix until you obtain a smooth dough, pour into a 20 cm donut mold and cook in a static oven at 170°C for 40-45 minutes. Check the cooking with a toothpick and decorate with almond cream or icing sugar.

Carrot, orange and almond cake

To prepare the Carrot, Orange and Almond Cakestart by whipping 4 eggs with 150 g of brown sugar until you obtain a frothy mixture. Vegan orange and almond cake

To prepare the Vegan Orange and Almond Cakemix 300 g of type 2 flour, 140 g of brown sugar, 10 g of yeast and 50 g of chopped almonds in a bowl. Add 200 g of soy yogurt, 100 ml of oat milk, 90 ml of seed oil, 120 ml of orange juice and the grated peel of both oranges.

Orange cake with dairy-free cream and butter

Those who are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy products can prepare one orange cake without milk and without butter for example by replacing cow’s milk with vegetable milk or with simple water and butter with extra virgin olive oil.

To prepare this Orange cake with creamstart by whipping 3 eggs with 150 g of sugar until you obtain a frothy mixture. Add 90 g of orange juice, 80 g of seed oil and the grated zest of an orange. Gradually add 200 g of 0 flour and a sachet of baking powder, mixing until you obtain a smooth dough. Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured mold and cook at 180°C for 30-35 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the orange cream: in a saucepan, mix 250 g of orange juice with 25 g of corn starch and 50 g of sugar. Cook over low heat, stirring until you obtain a thick cream. Let cool slightly and spread the cream on the cooled cake before serving.

Upside down orange cake

This is the recipe for a very soft upside-down cake. To prepare it, beat the eggs well with 170 g of brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. In the meantime, butter and flour a 24 cm diameter springform pan and cover the base with a disc of baking paper. Sprinkle the base with a little brown sugar and arrange thin slices of an orange on top, keeping the peel.

Add the zest of 3 oranges, a pinch of salt and 70 ml of seed oil to the egg mixture. Gradually add 350 g of 00 flour sifted with a sachet of yeast, alternating it with 200 ml of orange juice, continuing to mix until a smooth mixture is obtained.

Pour the mixture into the pan and cook in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 45 minutes. Leave to cool and enjoy the intense aroma and beauty of this orange cake.

Orange chiffon cake

To prepare the Orange Chiffon Cakestart by whipping 7 egg whites until stiff with a pinch of salt and 8 g of cream of tartar. In a separate bowl, whisk the 7 egg yolks with 300 g of sugar and the grated zest of two untreated oranges. Add 120 g of seed oil and 200 g of water, continuing to mix until you obtain a smooth mixture.

At this point, gradually incorporate 300 g of sifted flour with a sachet of yeast and vanilla, mixing well. Finally, add 100 g of chocolate chips and the whipped egg whites, taking care not to dismantle them. Pour the mixture into the chiffon cake mold (without greasing) and cook in a preheated oven at 160°C for about an hour.

For the icing, mix 250g of icing sugar with the juice of one orange until smooth. Pour the icing over the cold cake and garnish with slices of fresh or candied orange.

Orange and chocolate cake (cooked in an air fryer)

To prepare this Sicilian orange and chocolate chip cakestart by blending a whole organic orange of about 300 g, with all the peel. In a bowl, whisk 2 eggs with 40 g of erythritol and 50 g of honey until you obtain a frothy mixture. Add the blended orange, 100 ml of almond milk and 30 ml of coconut oil, mixing well.

Combine 200 g of type “1” flour, 10 g of yeast, a pinch of vanilla and cinnamon, and finally 50 g of chocolate chips, sifting the dry ingredients to avoid lumps. Taste the mixture to check the taste: if it is too bitter, add more honey to taste.

Pour the mixture into a 20cm mould. Cook in air fryer at 170°C for 40 minutes, checking the cooking with a toothpick; if necessary, extend cooking at 160°C for another 10 minutes. Alternatively, cook in the oven at 180°C for 40-45 minutes.
