The charm of Japan arrives in Piazzola sul Brenta, in the province of Padua, with an extraordinary exhibition. From 1 March to 29 June 2025, Villa Contarini welcomes “Japan. Land of Geisha and Samurai”, an exhibition that intertwines art, history and millenary traditions. A truly unmissable opportunity to immerse yourself in a world made of elegance and discipline, between refined geisha and noble samurai.

Organized by Artika and curated by Francesco Morena, the exhibition presents an accurate selection of works from the Valter Guarnieri private collection.

Among the pieces exposed, vintage kimono, masters Ukiyo-E prints such as Hokusai, Hiroshige and Utamaro and precious roll paintings. Each section explores an aspect of the Japanese soul: the ethereal beauty of the geisha, the indissoluble honor of the samurai, the deep relationship with the nature and influence of Zen Buddhism.
