From Tintin to Smurfs, from Astérix to Lucky Luke, the comics in Brussels are at home! Just turn the corner to meet face to face with the great protagonists of the ninth art, not relegated to museums or bookstores, but exhibited in the open sky, on the facades of many buildings.
That of Brussels is a real comic route which, since 1991, has been enriched every year with new wall works, arriving today to 80 murals scattered throughout the city.

Just a walk in the historic center to come across the Smurfs, in Gaston Lagaffe, Tintin, Victor Sackville. In the most rebellious neighborhood in the capital, the Marolles, there are as many as 15 murals dedicated to comics, while in the lively Sainte-Catherine district they appear cubitus, spike and suzy, and of course Astérix. And how to forget the iconic mural of Maltese shortan unmissable stop for every enthusiast.

Moving away from the center, also the neighborhoods of Laeken and Haren They offer spectacular examples of comics street art, such as the murals dedicated to the Marsupilami conceived by André Franquin.
