“In Gaza there are no more universities, the right to study is denied and every human being is a target“.” From this very hard figure, flowers from Cannoni takes shape, initiative of the Another Coffee Stories (ACS) publishing house with the support of the lawyer Annalisa Nanna and a network of activists and academic.
The goal? Open educational corridors to bring out girls and boys admitted to Italian universities but blocked under siege, and bring them safely with “educational emergency” priority visas.
On 5 August the appeal was presented in the press room of the Chamber of Deputies, a press conference to ask the government an official authorization that qualifies the operation as an urgent humanitarian mission and unlock the way of visas.
Who must be saved (immediately)
According to the organizers, about 100 students and students already admitted by Italian universities are still trapped in the strip. The request is twofold: urgent views and protected evacuation with a humanitarian corridor dedicated to studies.

The organizers ask that the executive:
- Activate safe transport to evacuate Borsisti from the Strip immediately to evacuate
- Recognizes the operation as a humanitarian mission for educational purposes
- issues priority visas of “educational emergency” (in line with the Lazio Tar ordinance 5.6.2025)
- coordinates with the rectors to enter Italy by September 15, 2025, in time for the start of the semester 2025–2026
On August 18, 2025, a PEC of warning was sent to the end of September 15: in the absence of responses, activists announce the use of “highest degrees of jurisdiction”
Because the right to study is a human right (universal declaration, art. 26; EU card, art. 14) and a pillar of our Constitution (articles 33–34). Without university, a community loses brains, future, resilience: social and environmental reconstruction also passes through campus, libraries, workshops, not only from hospitals and roads.
Ensuring access to education for young people from Gaza today means saving lives and tomorrow reconstructing a sustainable and right country.
