Inspired by Greek myth and culture, artist Stefania Pennacchio brings the Naxos archaeological parkin Taormina, some wonderful sculptures dedicated to Hecate, a Greek divinity considered the lady of shadows and nocturnal ghosts, goddess of magic and spells, capable of bringing out desires and instilling the courage to fulfill them.
Stefania’s sculptures and her artistic research have always evoked everything that is sacred and archaic in the Mediterranean basin. No less impressive is this evocative exhibition, “Hecate: the way of desire”, curated by Angelo Lorenzo Crespi, open to visitors until 30 October 2024.

On August 10th, “The Night of Hecate” also took place, a nocturnal event which was accompanied by a soundtrack from ancient Greece, curated by the musicologist and lyricist Rosa Fragorapti, and by some visual installations by the photographer and director Giuseppe La Spada , who declared about the sculptor:
Stefania is a very profound artist who has the ability to deal with history and above all with the absolute. His research gives us an ancestral dimension, which touches the roots of the important themes for the comparison with the archetypes. He does this by creating a constant relationship with his interlocutor, first taking him into a spatial dimension made of matter and natural elements, immediately afterwards into a timeless inner journey
